Co-op receives Vitalyst Health Foundation grant and support from Waste Not to grow pick-up and delivery infrastructure!

What an amazing time of community support this is for Sun Produce Co-op to help it move forward in its mission to create viable alternative distribution streams for Arizona’s smaller-scale producers and leverage cooperative branding and marketing and supply purchasing efforts.

The Co-op continues to be so grateful to our members and partners, and are completely delighted to announce two new partners:

Vitalyst Health Foundation AZ has provided a $10,000 grant to support the co-op to lease a refrigerated truck and pay for a driver.

And to add a ripple effect to the grant, Waste NOT, a perishable food recovery organization, is allowing the Co-op to use their vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries. Today was the first delivery using the Waste Not truck to Litchfield Elementary School District, and Phoenix Elementary School District #1 as part of their work with Mollen Foundation.
